Rich's Uncle John adopted two BLM Donkeys when Rich was a young boy.  This was pretty awesome to a kid from the suburbs who never even had a dog...  It was probably a large contributing factor in Rich getting into hobby farming.

Years later when Uncle John became ill, we brought the donkeys to Davison to live out their years.  When the older donkey (in his forties) died in the spring of 2008, we rushed to find a friend for Barney (at least in his thirties) to keep him company.  One girlfriend for Barney led to two and the 2nd girlfriend was pregnant when she came to the farm on New Years Day, 2009.

On May 14th, 2009 Wayne was able to take these great pictures of Zoey the Donkey giving birth.
